Practices
Caltech (North Field)
Practice sessions are normally held on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM at Caltech North Field located in Braun Athletic Center. This is our primary mode of leather ball/tennis ball practice for the club. Club members usually communicate using a Whatsapp group to confirm practice attendance at least two days prior to the practice session. (Please contact the club officers for access to this Whatsapp group.)
Equipment such as gloves, pads, helmets, bats, balls (except for abdomen guards) are provided by the club, so if you wish to try the game, just come along to one of the practice sessions!
Woodley Park Net Practice
Periodically we practice in the nets located at Woodley Park Cricket Complex located in Van Nuys. These sessions are very useful to hone batting/bowling skills and execute specific drills. Pitches are faster here.
Miscellaneous Practices
Other practice options include private sessions with a certified coach, tape ball games in a public park, and batting cages with bowling machines. These are organised on demand with club members through the Whatsapp message group.
